21st edition of CINE EUROPA

Also this year, Italy will take part in the festival, thanks to the joint efforts of the Philippine Italian Association and the Italian Chamber of Commerce!
Two will be the presented movies:

THE LEASE - newly released (2018), it’s the first Italian film ever produced in the Philippines by a Philippine producer!

A Philippine-Italian family living in Venice returns to the Philippines since Romano, engineer, husband of Clara and father of two children, is assigned to a project there. The family leases a beautiful villa in Tagaytay but soon they start experiencing strange happenings. Clara wants to go back to Italy fearing for the safety of their two children, but Romano decides to investigate about the strange and frightening events.

One classic movie, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Federico Fellini’s death.
NOTTI DI CABIRIA (Nights of Cabiria) is a drama starring the great Giulietta Masina.
This film film won the Oscar as the best foreign film in 1958 and it also won in Cannes in 1957.

Rome, 1957. A woman, Cabiria, is robbed and left to drown by her boyfriend, Giorgio. Rescued, she resumes her life and tries her best to find happiness in a cynical world. Even when she thinks her struggles are over and she has found happiness and contentment, things may not be what they seem.
