PIA is happy to take part in this initiative by the Center for Austrian and Philippine Culture and Language on Speaking-Teaching-Learning Tagalog.
Brief: Filipinos are known to be multilingual. Current debates show, however, that the Filipino language is losing its value more and more. Today's youths speak mainly Taglish and few can speak Tagalog fluently. This can be seen both in the Philippines and in Europe. In Europe, you can see in particular that Euro-Filipinos long to speak Tagalog if they have not learned it from scratch because they want to get to know their own identity and roots. This webinar will cover many of these topics.
PIA will be represented by Ms. Jillian Melchor, instructor of Filipino and Italian langauge at PIA.
