PIA directors' Christmas greeting

Beloved Members and friends,

It is with pride and joy that we announce the showing of a most special presentation, carefully and painstakingly put together by members of the Board, in lieu of our traditional Christmas party! Neither virus nor pandemic can suppress the indomitable spirit of PIA, despite the many challenges we have had to face these last many months. We end the year with our President Nedy Tantoco’s Christmas message and the brilliant performance by Dr. Raul Sunico, PhD., of George Gershwin’s landmark Concerto in F, with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra.

The event can also be viewed on the PIA Facebook page on Sunday, December 13th, the feast of Santa Lucia. This great saint who hails from Southern Italy is revered as a harbinger of Christmas, and is celebrated similarly in the tradition of Saint Nicolas. On December 13 many years ago, she arrives in a village on a donkey to bring gifts to good children. In the spirit of Santa Lucia, we now offer this event as our special Christmas gift to you.
